Strange winter

This week has been a bit off for us in TX.

Monday, it was 75 degrees. About 10 degrees above normal, actually.

The following night (from Monday to Tuesday), it started getting cold (what we consider cold here), with temperatures dropping rapidly into the upper 20's.

And it stayed below freezing, ranging from temperatures as low as 14 degrees to just below 30 degrees during the day. And it was very windy, so wind chills were around 6 degrees at times.

Now this may not be shocking to any regular person living up North. But for Central TX, this is pretty extreme! To make things more fun, it started snowing and icing over Thursday night, and this is what I woke up to.

Then it warmed up again on Sat/Sun into the 60's. Go figure.
(and since I'm backblipping this, I can also tell you that it got cold again 2 days later with record lows. No snow this time, though. And while we woke up to temperatures around 20 degrees again on Friday morning, it is now Sunday and 72 degrees...)

Only in TX.
