We had 2 young lads stop with us last night. Steven & Ross (both 16 years young!) They arrived about 17:45 soaked through to the skin after cycling 65 miles from Aviemore on what was a truly awful Sunday weather wise.

They are doing a 250 mile charity bike ride. Yesterday they completed part 1 Aviemore to Kildrummy.

We put their bikes in the function hall, got their clothes laid out in front of the heaters, fed & watered them. I thought they would hit the sack as they looked totally wiped out. But no they went & checked over & maintained their bikes ready for today?s leg before heading back to their room.

They are doing the cycle for Cancer Research a most worthy cause I'm sure you will agree!

We filled them up with 2 big full on breakfasts this morning & gallon of tea. I made them a couple of swedger BLT sandwiches & gave them some juice for the trip. Filled out their sponsor form & got a few pictures which I will forward on to them before they headed off.

Today they head to Braemar, then onto Perth & finally back to Aviemore by Wednesday ready to be back at School on Thursday.

Very level headed young men and what was really pleasing is they are doing something positive with their half term break!

Having a bit of an adventure, raising money for a fantastic cause, & testing themselves in the process. Not lazing about, sleeping & moaning about being bored like most of the kids will be during the half term break.
