Church in Brittany

This morning we took the TGV to Rennes, at the base of Brittany, to visit our dear friends Nine and Didier. We arrived in mid-afternoon, and after a brief nap for me we took a drive nearby.

This is the church in Pacé near Rennes. Pacé is a small village, where we did some delightful shopping (wine, bread, yogurt and more). The church dates from the 17th century, with other elements from earlier. The elaborate steeple is a type that is fairly common in Brittany. (The only informative page I found does not produce a good link.)

We'll stay in Rennes through Saturday morning. I love taking French trains, and look forward to returning to Paris.
