Splish splash

Aidan had a doctors appointment this morning at 9am. It was not easy getting us both ready and there for that time. Thankfully Mr Mono helped before he went to work. Aidan was prescribed an inhaler last year and I wanted to get him checked over by the doctor again. Apparently it's very difficult to diagnose asthma in babies and young children as their tubes are all very small still. The doctor feels that due to Aidan's eczema and the family history of asthma there is a high chance he does have it. She thinks it's a good idea to keep trying the inhaler for now and just to monitor how Aidan is doing.

Aidan was out of sorts all day. He had a morning and an afternoon nap which is very unusual for him, over 4 hours in total. In between his two naps Uncle C came over to visit. Aidan put on a show, as always, bouncing on his trampoline, riding his rocker and generally showing off.

After his afternoon nap he was crying inconsolably, I thought he was teething as we had noticed a bump in his gum earlier in the week. When I tried to put bonjela on his gum I could see the skin was red and broken as though the tooth was nearly though. Poor wee scone, another molar. They seem to hurt him the most. Bonjela wasn't helping at all but after a dose of calpol he eventually stopped crying and managed his dinner.

Aidan had all his beauty treatments after his bath tonight. Manicure, pedicure and haircut :) I love cutting Aidan's hair, he looks so cute when it's all neat and tidy again. Followed by some nurofen for his sore gums so hopefully he'll get some sleep tonight.

Aidan's bath water always looks murky as we use Oilatum or Aveeno, both are soap substitutes so no bubbles for Aidan :( It doesn't look great but it's what's best for his skin.
