Can you ever be too old to throw stones in the sea

I had one of those mornings where possible blips seemed to be everywhere.

As Baby seemed to be a bit better today having only been sick once in the night we wandered down to the beach this morning for fresh air, a coffee and a strole. For the first time in ages there was no wind so it was really nice down there. A local artist had been yarn bombing again so I took a few shots of the stones in their wooly jumpers.

We then went down near the water to drink our coffee and eat pastries when a massive flock of ducks flew over head, there were hundreds of them up there, and were a quite a sight for a possible blip.

After the coffee we carried on allong the esplanade. After carrying Toddlers scooter all the way down there she then decided that she actually did not want scoot at all. She just wanted to walk along the wall. Funnily enough as we walked along the wall we saw another little girl and her father doing the same thing coming towards us.

Toddler moved over to let them pass and we noticed that the girls mummy was, like wife, pushing a buggy and holding a scooter. So it was not just us who had gone scooting on false pretences. We exchanged knowing looks and went our separate ways.

Just after this we noticed that the tide was coming in really high. This is when I saw this old chap picking up stones and throwing them in the sea. I took a few of him and as you can see have rather crudely stuck them together as I thought it would make it a little more interesting. There is something about throwing stones in the sea that never gets old, unlike us. He was enjoying it just as much as the children do when they do it.

After popping home for lunch we went back out to meet some of toddlers friends at the park. She and her friends charged about everywhere and they all ended up with very muddy knees indeed. I also perfected the two swing push technique that will no doubt come in very handy in the upcoming years.
