24 hour news

I'd heard about the earthquake in Christchurch before I went to bed last night. And caught up with up-to-date news on the radio and by texts when I woke up. And all day we were checking up on the internet to see what was happening. And we even have blips from the area this evening. We can sometimes be exasperated by 24/7 information overload. But in the last couple of weeks I think we've all appreciated.

Amazing to think that when Cyclone Tracy hit Darwin that the rest of the country didn't even knmow until later in the day. And that's less than 40 years ago.
