Thunderbirds Are Go!

St. John's RC Church in Portobello always reminds me of Thunderbirds... Out on a beer run before the England - France rugby. Wahey!

Just wish I'd had the camera for one moment in the day that brought a smile - Mel spotted a fox standing at the bottom of the lawn. Nothing odd in that, but Isla was out, and there was a worry about just where she might be. Er. Standing under the palm tree by our back door, staring out the fox. Ten yards of 'who blinks first' which no-one was winning. So Isla, a tiny little tortie bundle of feistiness, launched at the fox, tail exploding out in an expression of fuzz. And the fox scarpered. Bolted. Fled.

Anyway, pile of cheese from Mellis, beers from Porty, and England winning the rugby. Only thing tarnishing the victory was bloody John Inverdale carping on and the immediate suggestion from the BBC (which will be followed by the rest of the media) that the grand slam is pretty much odds on now. SHUT UP! And someone, just for good measure, punch Inverdale. Hard. More than once.

The almost wildlife blips:
