We flew and failed!

We don't seem to be having much luck with kites. Today was well windy and great for panda to make his maiden flight....well, a few pathetic attempts last time don't really count, ok?....I have to admit that I was well chuffed to get this panda in the air....overly confident, the line was full out and then he took a dive...oh noooo!!....right into the neighbours tree. Not to worry, a few gentle tugs would soon have him flying again, right? Wrong! Panda jumped the wire and was too high in the tree to rescue. There he remains. Can I swear?!! Also, this tree belongs to neighbours who might just delight in keeping the panda kite. Don't ask!! I stuck a note through the door explaining that it's ours so we will see. (Wish now that I'd let Jed fly the kite instead of being a selfish Mum who had to get it in the air for him. Serves me right!)

Also, Lewis ordered a stunt kite off ebay the other day. A nice cool looking blue, white and black one. It arrived in the post yesterday and the colour sent is....pink and white stripes!! (It didn't state anywhere that the colours may vary!) Not cool for a 10 year old boy. Sick to the back teeth of kites!!!!
