Mimosa in the wind

The light seems so wonderfully bright today, or perhaps I'm still getting re-accustomed to it after some grey days in Wales, and the mimosa and the palm trees were blowing about in a strong north wind. I'm surprised there are still flowers on the mimosa trees as they have been blossoming for about a month now. I thought I'd get one last shot of them before it's too late.

Mimosa is not indigenous to the Mediterranean, having been brought here from Australia, but it certainly has settled very well here. I find the bright yellow of the flowers rather artificial, but it is good to see something so bright at the end of winter.

This is the same tree I blipped here.
