Rue Mouffetard: Music & Dancing

Every Sunday morning toward midday, musicians, singers, dancers and listeners assemble at the foot of the Rue Mouffetard. In the heart of the Left Bank, the street is one of the best-known in Paris--mainly for its shops and open-air vendors.

The live music on Sunday is wonderful, with a variety of excellent singers and dancers (the lady with the red glove is singing, and the dancers just to the right were among the best). Anyone can dance (though I haven't yet dared to). It's not easy to capture the magic of the scene with a still photo, but I hope this gives some sense of it.

Next-day edit: I should make clear that the fellow behind at the mike is the main accordionist, and often also sings.
