Skulking underground in Paris

A great visit to the Catacombs today, which was so interesting, if a wee bit grim. It's the ossiary where they moved all the bones from the old cemeteries which were cleared in the 1800s. Each one has its own section in these vast, gloomy underground tunnels - deeper than the metro. Piles and piles of thousands upon thousands of bones and skulls, which seem to go on for miles.

However, it was a bit of a frustrating experience for anyone with an interest in photography - incredibly low light, no flash and no tripod allowed. This is the ONLY shot that came out, from about 100+ attempts!
