Have been blipping since June 2011 (never missed a day) so am now a seasoned veteran. Very deskbound thanks to my four day a week NHS day job but still make the effort even 'though sometimes I feel like my life is small and boring and my pictures reflect that. But what the hell; who wants to be a celebrity?

I am now a 60 something and went Vegan in May 2017 which has changed my life - not just food wise but ethics wise. My family are still the heart of my life, particularly TSM (The Soul Mate). Watch this space.

Original Bio

I'm a South Londoner by birth now living in Surrey. I come from a photographic family with a grandfather and father who were both keen amateurs. I had a Russian 35mm Zorki when I was ten years old. Later I had a Pentax, an enlarger, all the chemicals and the blacked out bathroom. Then I lost my way until the new digital democracy gave me back my creative eyesight. Now my life is a thousand pictures a day, most of them only fleetingly glimpsed in my mind; but a few end up being captured by my Panasonic Lumix, my smartphone or one of my ageing Nikon DSLRs although a very full time job in today's chaotic NHS means I don't get out nearly enough.

I think I love writing almost as much as I like taking photographs, particularly when it comes to things I am passionate about - so blipfoto is a perfect medium for me and I love seeing other people's images and words.
