In this world where evil, unfathomable cruelty, greed, stupidity, and short-sightedness run rampant there is another side where kindness, compassion, bravery, foresight lights the way. Then there is the third side-the saddest of all; apathy, where the 'it-doesn't-affect-me-so-I-don't-care' rules.

This journal is not about photography. It is a 365 day journey about finding the bad, the good and the apathetic for each day as a way to deal with my strong gut reactions to the day's headlines and the tendency I have to get a bit depressed about the large, sweeping issues that I can't personally affect.

It has taken humankind many thousands of years to evolve to this state of consciousness, and yet I feel that we haven't evolved at all.
