I'm a painter, rather than a photographer but like most painters, whether they admit it or not, photography informs my practice. My paintings often result from the coming together of more than one photograph, sometimes of different locations. Blipfoto demands something very different, obviously. Also, because my paintings are very painstaking, often taking weeks or months to complete, the immediacy of blipfoto is very gratifying.

Whatever I'm doing and wherever I may be, I'm trying to rearrange the real world into a two dimensional image- I think the discipline of Blipfoto can only strengthen whatever muscle is worked in that process.
