23 March 2021. Update. I've enjoyed my first few months in blipworld so much that I was inspired to dust off my old 35mm camera! Because it is difficult to conform to the blip ethos when not using digital, and following the fine example set by RobBris50 I have set up another account johnparkefilm for that purpose. I shall continue to try and post daily digital images here.

1 January 2021. My first camera was an Ilford Sprite at age 8. Several 35mm cameras followed during the next few decades. I was lucky to have a dad who taught me processing and printing. I eventually succumbed to the lure of digital and although I possess a DSLR, my everyday camera is a point and shoot Lumix. I do however miss the magic of watching an image appearing gradually on a sheet of paper in a developing dish in a dakroom bathed in orange (safe)light! Maybe one day........
I spent my chilhood in Oxford and most of my adult life in Portsmouth, both of which provide unlimited scope for photo opportunities. Mind you, that is probably true of anywhere!
I am a novice in Blipworld but am endeavouring to take photos each day when out for a cycle ride. I like shapes and patterns, juxtaposition, visual surprises and nature. Other categories are available.
