I’m Katelyn ,Photography has been a hobby of mine for close to five years. My freshman year of high school photography came into my life as a serendipitous creative outlet. Most of my work is done in digital with my Nikon D3100 body and 55mm lens. Black and white film is my favorite type of photography. By taking a film class while being in college, I came to appreciate film and digital photography much more. In turn because of the attentiveness to F stops and light with film, this helped me with my digital work and understanding the basics of photography.
For 2014 a friend and I decided over lunch one day at Parana bread to do a 365 photo challenge. Both of us are photographers and wanted to develop our work more. Also, we have an accountability system. If we miss taking a photo for a day we have a strike. With three strikes we have to go to our local smoothie shop and buy the other person whatever he or she wants.
