A little about me, I have just turned 40 (ouch) and rekindled my interest in photography (having been spending most of my spare time DJing for the last 15 years) about a year ago when I bought myself a Nikon D80. This has now been upgraded to a D300 and so far I am loving it!
After a bit of mucking about and taking fairly mundane nothing type photographs I stumbled into concert photography by accident. I happened to have my camera with me at a gig in a pub and thought "this looks like a fun thing to photograph". Anyway, the results were not too bad and even the band liked them so I was hooked.
I have since had the pleasure of photographing a couple of my favourite bands, Stereophonics & The Enemy, as well as a band called The Wolfmen who's lead guitarist is my all time guitar hero Marco Pirroni (ex Siouxie & The Banshees/Adam & The Ants)
I don't just shoot gigs, I really like photographing people. I have invested in some bowens studio lighting and am currently setting up a small studio in my home where I hope to take peoples portraits. This is something I think I need a lot of practice on though if I am completely honest! I also do some motocross photography and have sold some of my shots to various riders.
So thats a bit about me, over the past few months my equipment list has grown, (its not a cheap hobby eh?) I have added a decent flashgun and various lenses. Happy shooting folks!
