Once upon a time I lived in England, in the fair county of North Yorkshire, and studied Engineering at the University of Durham. In 2007 I graduated and was offered a position in Aberdeen as an Electrical Engineer. I've been in Scotland ever since.

My free time is spent climbing mountains, looking at the stars and listening to (and playing) music. I run and play badminton, and on lazy Sundays can usually be found in a coffee shop with a good book. I don't watch a lot of TV but do follow Formula 1, cycling and American Football. If I were to be trapped on a desert island I would want to have: the mountain Beinn Sgritheall; the complete series of The Wire; Boxer by The National; The Secret History by Donna Tartt; and a telescope.

I have a Canon EOS 450D digital SLR camera which goes with me most places (and a smaller Panasonic DMC-FZ7 which goes to the mountains on rainy days). I'm always looking to improve my photography and hope that by getting involved with Blipfoto I'll find plenty of inspiration and be able to get more feedback on my photography.

Besides Blipfoto I upload most of my photos to Flickr, and send images from my phone (a Google Nexus One) to a Posterous account. I also have a personal website.
