Stone Tape

I can reveal that tonight's Edinburgh Secret Society involved a viewing of Stone Tape. As it's on the website anyway...

This was a BBC drama from 1972 which frightened people so much there were floods of complaints about it. Shades of War of the Worlds about it although the problem here was not that anyone thought it was real, just that it was too scary.

Possibly the Beeb are a bit touchy about it then which might be why it has never been repeated and never been out on video or DVD. So getting to see it tonight was a rare priviledge.

Edit-I ought to admit that I thought it was pretty scary. :-)
