Silly hatters

Patrick's Day already?! Hard to believe, but here it is again. For once it not only stayed dry, but the frost and the snow and the hail and the usual miserable weather failed to materialise. Actually, it started bright and sunny and only later clouded over. I was torn between doing some work and getting in to town early and eventually took the work option, at least until midday or so. What was then emant to be a quick reviving lie-down turned into a snooze and suddenly it was 1.30 and I was in a flap.

After lunch in Celestine's restaurant close to home (strange Pea and Mint soup and a generous helping of Beef and Guinness Stew), I got in to town around 4.00, and just stayed around Custom House Quay where a funfair had been set up as part of the Patrick's Day Festival events (though I'll neved understand how being swung upside down into the air can be considered "fun"). I spent a while on blip duty and then came back home, all ready for a return to some more work drudgery.

Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone.
