Invasion!

Invasion log. Day 3.

The BBC continue to assure the population that there is nothing to worry about, but since "the object" commenced its hover over Brimingham this message has sounded increasingly ridiculous. Officially there is a news blackout, the party line is that atmospheric trails were caused by a US surveillance satellite re-entering. People aren't stupid though, and the fact that Birmingham has to all intents and purposes been cut off for 48 hours has spawned rumours even wilder, if that is possible, than the truth.

Todays security sweep shows that the drones are spreading, this one is on the wall of a building in Dufermline. They go largely unnoticed thanks to what can only be described as a cloaking device, but remain visible in the x-ray spectrum. In common with other finds, this one is electrified and repels any attempt to remove it from the wall for analysis. Its purpose is unclear, but cloaked devices spreading across the country can hardly be good news. Actually, I must correct myself, spreading across Europe. I heard that one was found in Brittany today.

We can only hope that Torchwood can handle this new threat as well as their Welsh compatriots handled the English at the weekend. The team is spread damned thin on the ground, but with their collection of alien tech they must be able to do something...
