A Study in Crow

Yep, its a crow, not a nuthatch or pileated woodpecker, not even a jay! Why the crow? This lowly scavenger and perennial is often the subject of art by a good friend of mine, BG Dodson.

I had a pocketful of peanuts when I went to the Rhododendron Gardens today. I also saw 4 baby nutria. They were cute, but its still hard to get gushy about rodents.

I was going to try and get the moonrise tonight, but it is now raining and I am a fairweather photographer.
