A time for everything

New life!

Monday
This tree just at the front of our house, is always one of the first to burst into leaf. I snapped it this afternoon, just after a thunderstorm had passed through, with torrential rain. Fifteen minutes later the sun was out again, but not for long! Temperatures are very warm - around 70F, and are supposed to stay that way until Wednesday, when we're supposed to have more storms going through, and temperatures on Thursday will only be in the 40s!

I was without my car today, as it was in at the body shop having the rear (fifth) door re-sprayed. The car is three years old, and has had rust spots over the rear door for some time now. We had tried bringing it to the garage's attention before, but they tried to persuade us it was because we tow with it, and it was road chips causing the damage. We weren't buying it - we've towed with about four vehicles now, and never had a problem. Then Roger had the idea of taking the license plate off, and lo and behold there were rust spots there too - now how would they get behind the license plate if it was from road chips?! So last time we took it in, Roger insisted they sent the pictures he had taken to Mazda, and finally they agreed to fix it. Of course, they would want to do it on a Monday, one of the days when I can't do without a car, so I had to drive Roger into work and pick him up again this evening, and again tomorrow!
