Pride and Prejudice

I chose this title for two reasons:

1. It was the first thing that came into my mind when I saw this photograph.

2. I have experienced both of these (not so desirable) traits over the course of today.

I had to deal with the rather less pleasant side of my job today. Glad my students are generally pretty good. I think it must be exhausting to have to face that every day. Of course, you get the occasional one, but over all, I am very lucky.

These Nancy Steen roses were shot through the fogged up window first thing this morning. Definitely a fresh Autumnal nip in the air.
