My Aim is True

A visit by the (sort of) auditors today. You know, the sorts that come and poke their noses in. Critisise. Postulate. Speculate. "See you next Tuesday" we cried, as we waved them on their way.....

Although we may actually see them tomorrow.... Ho hum

My monthly wander through the New Town. Always a joy. I may have tried to blip this before; Robert Louis Stevenson's home, with plaque with an excerpt from The lamplighter. What would RLS have made of this hideous plastic frog outside his house?

And interestingly a little later this cropped up in conversation. The pub in the New Town that was Leary's is now called Lord Bodos...I was told the tale of Lord Bodo...but cannot now recall it.

An interesting evening. Spent with some fascinating people, who've had (or have) incredible jobs. But the most impressive is the person for whom the odds are not looking good. Someone who is battling on..... regardless, with great humour and stoicisim. Very inspiring.
