Touches of Gold

The Autumn rose once so vibrant
quietly fades to touches of gold.
The delicate petals become papery folds
falling gently as Autumn unfolds.

It felt like winter today, although fine the wind was sharp coming straight off the Southern Alps - hurling and swirling, my eyes were running and nose dripping. I should've had a scarf and jacket instead of a jersey when heading to the shops. Greetings were short as people hurried on, there was no lingering for it was warmer inside.

Not a sharp focus today, the wind was to strong but there is still beauty in this Autumn rose.
