Letting the Rain In

After several hot dry days, we had light rain just before lunch. This crested pigeon (Ocyphaps lophotes) was perched on the power lines and thoroughly enjoying its shower, raising first one wing and then the other to let the rain in.

The light rain didn't last and evolved into torrential showers by this evening.
