Sunshiny

Today's blip very nearly was a shot of the Pigeon House chimneys swallowed up in the heavy morning fog, but that wasn't really typical of the day. The fog was quite dramatic while it lasted, but it had fully lifted shortly after noon and the sun broke through and shone nice and brightly for the rest of the day.

We watched the Chinese Grand Prix, recorded from the live transmission, What a race! It was full of incident and excitement. Driver of the day for me was Mark Webber, who worked his way from 18th to 3rd in great style. Good as the race was, though, I can't help wondering if it's good for the sport to have tyre choice decide the outcome to the extent it did today. Still, there were lots of moments when we were shouting and cheering out loud, and that can't be bad.

After brunch we had time to fit in a little walk and a couple of pit stops for refreshments before moving on to meet friends for a hugely enjoyable evening meal. The blip is from upstairs in the Cozie bar on George's Street in Dún Laoghaire. This was at 6.15 or so, and the sun streaming in through the windows was really intense.
