Fenced In

I wasn't sure if I was going to manage a blip today.

It has been hot again and I felt in a languid mood, to the point where watching Stewart Granger and Ava Gardner in Bhowani Junction, on the Turner Classic Movie channel, seemed a good option.

I spotted Edward Chapman among the cast. British cinema fans will remember him as Mr Grimsdale in the Norman Wisdom comedies of the early 1960s.

The film finished around six o'clock and the heat of the day turned down a notch, so I set out to capture a shot I took yesterday -- these palmettos, some dead, bounded by the chain-link fence. Not having to think or search for suitable subject suited my mood.
