Sgwarnog: In the Field

Hunter Gatherer

This is one of the Blackbird pair that have set up home in the vicinity of our garden, who vie for grazing rights with a pair of Dunnocks. They are out there probing the turf frequently during the day, and while a week or two ago they seemed to be just eating what they found, they are very clearly now gathering up a harvest of worms to take back to their nest.

This was taken through the window at maximum zoom, and cropped a little for extra magnification, so it's lost a bit of sharpness and colour in the process. A nice glimpse into the life of the Blackbird though.
