Alocasia

I bought this plant at The Plant Stand in Costa Mesa, CA for five bucks!! It usually runs about $30, but this one had cut leaves and was not as attractive as the more expensive ones. Well I figured, it's a plant and it will grow. And it's true! This leaf was weeks in the making and now the plant is beautiful. I can see a new leaf starting to form on the stem and can wait till that grows out!


Today at work, my coworkers surprised me for my birthday and sang to me and had a cookie platter for me. Funny thing is, I told them my birthday was going to be Sunday the Thursday prior. It was totally unexpected especially for my direct coworker.
