Queen's Day

Today was queen's day! This is the day in the Netherlands that everyone dresses in orange and celebrates our royal family and especially the queen.

Together with a couple of friends my girl and I went to Eindhoven to celebrate queen's day on one of the free parties they organized there. Officially the city was "full"; police gave out warnings that visitors should not come to Eindhoven anymore because all squares were full.

We spent most of our time on the TU/e campus. There was pop/rock music from local celebrities. Here you see a performance of BZB (band zonder banaan). Traditionally, the visitors throw beer around the place. By the time we went home, we all were sticky and stinky from the beer and other alcoholic drinks that had been thrown around.
