Steam power

Somewhat unexpected view from the train window today, even the conductor had no idea what either this locomotive, or the one which went along the other way (towards Edinburgh/Stirling) about 20 seconds after this was taken were doing just outside Glasgow. The funniest bit was some of the people on the second steam train were hanging out the window taking photos of us - in our bog standard Scotrail diesel, though to be fair I understand that Scotrail rolling stock is on the whole much better than that of many other companies, and we were in the newer kind, rather than the older ones - but still nothing terribly flash or unusual. I suspect they're hardline trainspotters, rather than the likes of me!
