Autumn Lingers

Our Autumn is starting to come to an end. The clouds are thickening, the leaves have fallen and the fires are burning. The sky was moody and forever changing. We woke to thick grey sky with drizzle and finished the day with a lovely clear sunset - in between, these clouds were rumbling by with a little sun and sometimes not.

Hubby and I went for a drive and came across this scene. I blipped this a few weeks ago with the Autumn leaves on the trees, a blue sky and yellow grape leaves in the distance - its quite different today, all the leaves are gone.

I am 'over the moon' with your lovely comments, stars and hearts from yesterdays sunrise. I'm feeling very humble being on the spotlight page but also thrilled - thank you :))

Some of you asked what time the sun rose. I left home at 6.50am arrived at the beach at 7.10am and the sun rose at 7.32 - one of the many good things of Autumn is the time the sun rises, much easier to catch than during summertime, when its not cloudy.

Our weekend is nearly over - time to relax with a hot cuppa and enjoy the evening. Its cold and snow is on the way for the lower South Island - thats not me this time.

Have a great week everyone :)
