Northern Cardinal

After a two week lapse in feeding the birds, I set out some thistle seed and some oiled sunflower seeds. I wondered how soon the birds would find their new food. Answer: About 30 seconds.

Among the diners was this Northern Cardinal and his mate. Also we had a multitude of Gambel's Quails, Red Finches, House Sparrows, Curve-billed Thrashers, and Mourning Doves.
