An ordinary life....

Take the Hint!

Great start to the day. Bit of a lie in then up, showered and dressed just in time for breakfast cooked by D - bacon, black pudding, fried egg, toast and a huge mug of tea! We don't have such a hearty start to the day very often so really enjoyed it! :)

A was off out for the afternoon with friends so D & I had some much needed time to ourselves. Decided to take a trip to look at some building plots that D had found, as we're looking into the possibility of building a house totally suited to A's needs as there aren't many fully accessible houses around that don't cost a fortune and would still need a whack of money flung at them to make the suitable.

Anyway, headed to the Clyde Valley, a new area to us and first thing that happened was we missed the turn off for the M73 due to the roadworks and had to drive almost to Glasgow before we could get turned around! And it's a 40mph limit so crawled all the way back! Not a good start. Then the sat nav got confused, we got confused, a few wrong turns, some sweary words and at last, we found ourselves at the turnoff to the plots.

The plots sit on land of what was formerly part of a big estate. We turned off at the Gate House we headed off down the leafy lane on the private road. Not far down the road, it started to get narrower and bumpier and wilder and D & I looked at each other with the same thought.....this is not for us!

Not really ideal walking terrain for A's wheelchair and quite steep so had visions of getting snowed in from November to March (not necessarrily a bad thing mind! LOL) so we took the hint from all our earlier mishaps and turned at the first opportunity and headed home. Today's blip is the view as we drove back up to the main road.

Beautiful and I'm sure the finished homes will be stunning, but not for us!

So, if anyone knows of any building plots for sale within North Lanarkshire, Stirlingshire, Clyde Valley, East Dunbartonshire or the southern end of Perth and Kinross, give me a shout. Email details in biog! :))

So, got a curry cooking in the slow cooker, going to catch up with all your blips then an evening of relaxation planned.

Happy Saturday peeps! :)
