Surprise visitor,goldfinch

A goldfinch according to the RSPB.  I've never seen one before.

I got to my sit-spot today - first time in nearly ten weeks.  Shocking.  Still a strong, cold wind.  Played around with a new spiritual practice offered by a friend last night.  Roused by a pair of these fluttering not three feet away.  

Lucky to catch this one at all - these guys are FAST.  A group of maybe six in all skittered off across the shore to forage in distant bushes.  Sometimes it pays to be quiet, still and connected.
