Onken

Here they are, my Altec speakers with new 360l Onken cabinet designed by Jean Hiraga in the 70's. Have still some minor things to do as make some tests with different damping material, add few supports inside to make the huge cabinet more rigid and also add some bitumen damping to the cast horn but still they already perform quite nicely already ;)

Today after work took some pics of these speakers to one hifi/highend journal that publishes few articles of the project at their web blog. Also visited sportshall by bike and played one hour badminton with friends. Nice.

It's really amazing how much you can achieve when you're home alone. Usually half of the freetime (atleast) goes doing something with the kids and when they are visiting some relatives you really can tell the difference. Well, have to admit - already miss them. Luckily they come back tomorrow and then I can again wish for some peace..
