The White Tornado

While out for our Cheap & Cheerful get-together last night, we got an invite to join our friends in Bray for food and chat and booze this evening. I went over to Carl's immediately after the music session (best intentions to get some work done before going to the music failed miserably due to a sudden bout of tiredness), and we DARTed from there to Bray and got there around 6.30. To some extent, it had been yesterday's lovely weather and glorious sunshine which prompted the invite, so it was a disappointment for our hosts not be able to wine and dine al fresco as planned. Despite that, we had a terrific time, livened up to an extraordinary degree by the arrival of Fletcher, there for a sleepover with his (much bigger) best chum Ozzy. I christened the little tyke The White Tornado, since he spent most of the time racing around faster than the speed of light and terrorising the wonderfully patient and gentle Oz.

I shot off lots of frames, trying desperately to capture the frenetic energy of it all, but it didn't prove at all easy. This quiet moment almost became today's blip, and then there was this later shot of The White Tornado with his camera-shy uncle, but all in all, the choice kept coming back to this one, with its hint of Fletcher's impressive cornering speed.

We had a fab time, as I say. Lovely food, a nice few welcoming glasses of bubbly, chat and fun. And then, a bit like last night, suddenly it was time to dash for the DART. Thanks for a fab time, lads.
