Railway Tracks

It was Mrs Os day off today and we were out and about with many jobs to do, blipping wasn?t high on the agenda today. We were driving past these railway lines and they caught my eye. I was fascinated so I stopped and took the time to capture them.

It got me thinking...........

Its interesting to me just how simple the line look when you take the time to look at them. They are a great way to move things around the country and I really think we should be using them more.
Its ironic that after shooting this image I heard that the Hillside Railway Workshops in Dunedin have laid off 41 staff, now sourcing the carriages from China. Cant say I think this is a great idea!!
