Dad

We've been watching the blackbirds going into the conifer with beaks full of food for the last few weeks and have marvelled at how hard working they are and how relentless it is. Well today one of the babies was sitting out on the front of the bush in full view of the window. Dad has had sole charge of this youngster and I'm not sure where Mrs B is, whether she's feeding another fledgling or if this is the sole survivor of the brood.

My long lens isn't fast enough to freeze the feeding in action as the light is quite low today. It's has been interesting to watch the baby being stuffed full of bread early on this morning. The wriggly's didn't appear until later.

(I'm in the middle of tidying/spring cleaning the kitchen and felt in need of a diverting `blip' session'. Back to it now.)

I haven't done a 2011 Challenge for some time, but thought this might fit this weeks challenge of Father/Dad.
