Another woodpecker photo

Memo to self: do not wait until dusk to take photos of woodpeckers. If you do you have to use a high ISO and the photo will be grainy.

It has been a beautiful summer's day today. I have been pottering from one job to another and had to leave the gardening until this evening when the temperature fell to a comfortable level.

We watched the boy's single final at Wimbledon. Sadly the young British finalist started well but then faded and was the runner up. (Is he practising to be a typical British player on the adult circuit? There have been precedents...........) I could not bear to watch the women's final because of Sharapova's shrieking. Surely that's not necessary or am I just a grumpy old woman?

I'm getting used to the new computer. Still no word about the state of the old one.
