A time for everything

Off camping again!

Friday
We hadnt originally planned on going again this weekend, after a short week, but we had no commitments, the weather was going to be dry and sunny, and we thought we weren't going to be able to go the next three weekends, so we thought we may as well. We went to Hocking Hills, just a two-hour drive from here, and one of our favorite places to visit in Ohio. We didnt go last year, so we thought it was time. We have been staying at this site on and off for 30 years. When we first came to the States it was a KOA (Kampgrounds of America) site, but during the ten years we were living in France, it ceased to be a KOA and was known as Scenic View - it does have a lovely view over the rolling hills from the office and pool area. Then, when I went online to book yesterday evening I saw it was once again a KOA site. Since returning from France, we have gone off KOA campgrounds in general, they tend to be relatively expensive, and we have stayed on several where the sites have been really close together. However, I dont mind paying the money so much if I feel you're getting something for it, and with this campground I feel you do. The sites are spacious, the bathrooms are excellent and kept very clean, there is a pool, and the quiet hours are enforced.
