Tarr Steps Clapper Bridge

Tarr Steps is one of my favorite places to go.

This is a Clapper Bridge across the River Barle in Exmoor National Park, you have to go over so many cattle grids your teeth rattle.
Its located about two and a half miles from Withypool and 4 miles from Dulverton.

The clapper bridge was put here (legend has it) by the devil himself to win a bet. I am sure he won.

All these places are of interest and lovely places and tiny villages inbetween.
We did stop at a church that i liked and i took this among all the headstones here was Desire and her cross.
In memory
