The way I see it.

Walking along the Sidewalks

Today was a lovely day to catch up with myself. Tina was working in the afternoon and I walked to the swimming pool, swam for an hour and walked back again. It is quite a strange experience walking in the residential parts of an American town because you meet very few other people walking. Here in Corvallis which is a university town there were quite a lot of people on bikes but most were getting around by car as is the American custom.

The sidewalks (Scottish translation = pavements!) are very broad and run through everyone's garden. Some people like the one in the blip have chosen to cultivate the strip between sidewalk and road. Tina's neighbour has made his into a vegetable garden! It is just visible beyond the purple trees.

So there might be very few people to say "Hello" to but there are lots of lovely garden patches to admire.
