Norwich Pride has begun

The Pride tea party was lovely: scones, cake, tea; funny, moving and thought provoking poetry from Norwich Pride Poet Laureate Vince Laws and gorgeous music from two of the girls from Fanny Jam. And excellent company.

Decided to give dancing the night away tonight a miss (did a bit of that last night after choir practice - cycled home gone midnight with the Chair of this year's Pride, Jules, chatting as we rode) as I have an early start in the morning helping set up.

I forgot to mention that whilst we in Norwich are celebrating Pride on 30th July our brothers and sisters in Vancouver will be also. One of the things they are doing is having a 'Pancake breakfast' in honour of one of the founding members of Vancouver Pride. It's great to be part of a global happening.
