Now That's What I Call a Caravan Site!

Day 1 at our first holiday destination and WOW!!!

We have been to Longleat before on day visits but there is something rather special to think that we have our caravan pitched within the grounds of Longleat House, the home of the (somewhat eccentric) Marquis of Bath and the Famous Safari Park. We are not even tucked out of sight at the edge of the vast grounds but are right at the centre next to the attractions at the rear of the main house.

Breathtaking surroundings and just as well it had the wow factor after the nightmare journey we had. Lost an hour of our holiday on the M25 forcing lunch (that we would have left until we got to Longleat) at Fleet Services on the M3 and probably another hour on the A303 past Stonehenge.

So instead of arriving just past 1pm, we arrived after 4pm and therefore there was little choice of pitches and it took ages to get pitched and settled down for some tea and a walk around.

Therefore, today's blip was taken at 9:25pm in very low light but I was determined to blip something that showed off the wonderful surroundings. (and onsite wi-fi - I'm in heaven)
