Cow and Mont Blanc

A trip up to the top of Semnoz Plateau today (1699 metres) for a little walk. I think we started the walk at 1500 metres so don't be fooled into thinking we had a titanic struggle. During the winter it's a ski area and during the summer the chalets are still open selling food and drinks.

A great walk with great views across to La Tournette, Mont Blanc and across bits of the Alps and the Jura.

Here was a proper cow with a proper cow bell in a proper Alpine meadow with a proper Alpine peak behind with proper snow. I expected to see Heidi or at the very least Goat Peter (yes, that dates me to a certain era in Children's TV when bad dubbing was perfectly acceptable...)

The clouds rolled in within minutes and we were slightly worried that we may be caught in an electrical storm, exposed on a very high mountain.

This blip is some proof that we were spared!
