The Trophy...

Words really do this thing not much justice. This is a serious piece of wood work art.

Dundee Daryl offered to build us a trophy for War of the Thistles(Day 1 and Day 2 now back blipped).

I delivered about 30 odd old used and broken skateboards up to him and this is half of what he came back with. The trophy is entirely made out of old skateboards, glue and varnish.

Here we have one half of the War of the Thistles trophy. Together, it forms a claymore. One half for the best skater on each day of the competition. All the colour comes from the dye'd layers of the ply that is used to make up a professional skateboard and it is intricately carved with the shape of the thistle at the top, it's leaves for the guard and the words War of the the Thistles along the inside of the handle. Without a doubt the finest looking piece of wood I have ever seen and absolutely unique and flawless.

Daryl, you are a man with skills....
