Desperately seeking

Fagus sylvatica

We always stay on the showfield overnight on the last day of a show. So, with our stock all packed up last night, we set our alarms for 6am so that we could take a walk with the cameras down by the river Lowther before taking down the marquee. I'd been awake several times and had heard the rain pattering on the caravan roof so I phoned Chippy and suggested another hours sleep.

At 7am I got up to find the sun shining and a full rainbow across the field. We enjoyed the walk by the river but I liked my shot of the beech tree better than the watery shots.
